If you are anything like me, you get max pleasure from the decorative items you place around your home. In my place from day to day, I make small changes and additions which always give me a little thrill! The more thrills the better for our day to day lives right?! Yesterday’s change was adorning my dining room with a vivacious plentiful bouquet of sunflowers gathered the day before from a magnificent sunflower field!
I had been noticing a place not too far from my new home with seemingly endless fields of sunflowers and knew I had to make a trip there. On Sunday afternoon my parents and I had a nice low-key meal out to celebrate my son’s birthday. Hunter was leaving the next day and with his birthday happening later this week I thought it would be a great opportunity to have a few of us wish him a grand day! On the way home I suggested to the others that we head over to Second Mountain Sunflowers to see these wonderful fields. My father was happier to take a respite and my son had online homework to complete for his summer college courses so that left Mom & I. We hopped in my car and off we went in search of sunflower nirvana!
To say it was amazing just does it not near enough justice as it is by far the most sunflowers, I have ever seen growing in one spot, and it is surrounded by gorgeous mountain, valley and hillside grandeur. Oh, what a wonder! Of course, I had a great time with my camera photographing these mesmerizing beauties. Mom and I made a few selfies with the cell phone for our social media stories as well! We cut bunches of the flowers with full permission of the farm and drove away happy and bright! Sunflowers have a power all their own to light us up, make us smile, spreading a golden joy vibe!
Back at home I trimmed the stems further and arranged them in a vase and placed on my dining room tavern table. As an extra I popped in a few succulents and lemons and the display really came to life! So far three days of wonder from a trip to the fields and a bouquet of flowers! It is so simple to raise the pleasure vibe! Nature is always there for us. All we need do is open to her awe and splendor!
Get out and soak up the cheerful vibrations! Then bring in the sunflowers to enjoy. Let them remind you to smile often, stay bright and be happy!
